Patient Comfort

Does Dr. Abeyta Use a Rubber Dam?

Patient comfort is important in our office.

Dr. Abeyta uses a much more comfortable system, called the Isolite system in her practice.  Due to patient comfort we do not utilize clamps around the teeth or materials like the rubber dam.
The Isolite system is a two step process. The first step is a flexible lip retractor that enables Dr. Abeyta to have a larger view of the area of concern. The second step is a comfortable tooth rest that allows your mouth to stay in a relaxed position throughout the procedure. As an added feature, Isolite aids in the elimination of saliva and debris throughout the oral cavity during your procedure.  This prevents you from swallowing harmful bacteria.   Dr. Abeyta implements this system in all restorative procedures from fillings to crowns as part of her committment to quality.  As a patient, you will appreciate this system not only for the comfort factor but also because your time in the dental chair is reduced.

Are you uncomfortable at the dentist’s office?

Are you uncomfortable to go to the dentist’s office or is your discomfort associated with the dental chair?

At Dr. Abeyta’s office we offer a multitude of amenities to make you more comfortable.  First of all, our lounge area provides a serene and calming environment.  We want to address your physical comfort as well, and do so by lining our dental chairs with memory foam to make your body more comfortable during your procedure.  Although Dr. Abeyta recommends an anti-anxiety medication to further calm a patient, nitrous oxide is available for those who are extremely uncomfortable during their procedure.  Ask us how Dr. Abeyta makes her anesthetic injections painless.

Is This Going to Hurt?

A lot of people are apprehensive when they go to the dentist office as they think it will cause pain and hurt them.

Dr. Abeyta’s gentle approach to dentistry ensures that we put your comfort first in all areas of treatment.
Dr. Abeyta delivers anesthesia to prevent pain with two systems.  Dr. Abeyta does not believe in large, stiff needles.   The first system is called the Wand.  The Wand is a computerized system that delivers the anesthesia at a much slower rate with a soft, flexible small gauge needle.  The second system is called the Dental Vibe.  Breakthrough VibraPulse technology delivers unique soothing pulsed vibration to block pain and discomfort. This also allows the anesthetic to be dispersed around the nerve to achieve more profound anesthesia.  These two systems allow for the most comfort when administering anesthesia.
